About
It started with one wedding. Now it runs them.
We built Tethered to run a single wedding end-to-end — the guest site and the day-of operations from one dataset. It worked too well to keep to ourselves.
The story
The first version was an internal tool for our own wedding — somewhere for guests to RSVP and a way to stop assembling the rooming list, the dietary sheet and the escort cards by hand the night before.
The realisation was that the two halves are the same data. Once the couple enters their guests, their events and their seating, the binder the coordinator needs is already there — it just has to be printed.
Destination venues feel this most: on-site lodging, multi-day celebrations, dozens of weddings a year, and a coordinator doing it all in spreadsheets. So we turned the tool into a white-label platform a venue can hand to every couple it books — and kept the binder as the thing that actually earns its keep.
Tethered is built by a small team — Kyran on the product, Krissie on the venue relationships — which is exactly why we can sit on a call with you and turn feedback into shipped features in days, not quarters.
What we believe
Ops-first, polish-second
A pretty website is table stakes. The hard, unglamorous part is the rooming list and the escort cards at 7am. We build for that first, and the polish follows.
The venue's brand, not ours
Couples and guests should believe their venue built this. Tethered stays invisible — your domain, your colours, your house style on every couple's site.
Local and POPIA-aware
Built in South Africa for South African venues, in rand. Your data is secured with access controls and processed under data-protection agreements with our service providers. No payment flows.
Come and break it on a call.
We're onboarding founding venues now. Tell us how you run a wedding weekend and we'll show you where Tethered fits.
