Will the wedding site really be on our brand, not yours?
Yes. Each couple's site carries your venue's name, logo and colours, on a tethered.co.za address today (and your own domain as that rolls out). Guests never see the word “Tethered” — as far as they know, the venue built it.
Who owns the data?
You and your couples do. We don't sell it, share it, or use it for anything but running your weddings. You can export it at any time, and it stays isolated per tenant — no wedding can ever see another's data.
What happens if we decide to leave?
Nothing holds you hostage. There's no long contract — we invoice by EFT — you can cancel whenever, and you take a full export of your data with you.
How does onboarding work?
We set up your venue: your brand, your house theme, and your details. We walk your coordinators through it, then you start inviting couples with a single email invite. Most of the setup is on us.
Do couples or guests pay anything?
No. Tethered is sold to the venue — couples and guests never pay or even create an account beyond an invite code to RSVP. It's a premium experience you bundle into the booking.
Can we use our own domain?
Custom per-venue domains are on the roadmap. Until that ships, every couple's site lives on a clean tethered.co.za address under your brand — and we'll move you onto your own domain when it's ready, at no extra fuss.
Is our data safe, and is it POPIA-compliant?
The platform is built POPIA-aware from the ground up, with hard per-tenant isolation enforced at the database level. Your data sits with a reputable, well-secured cloud provider today, and we plan to move to a South African (Cape Town) region as we grow. We're South African, building for South African venues.
How are we billed?
A one-off setup package (from R5,000) to stand up your branded deployment, then recurring priced per wedding you host — invoiced by EFT, no card, no checkout, no Stripe. Pay annually for the best rate (two months free), spread it monthly, or simply pay per wedding. The first ten founding venues lock today's pricing — setup and per-wedding rates — for three full years.
How much support do we actually get?
A direct line to a small team that ships fast. On the pilot especially, your feedback turns into shipped features in days — not a ticket in someone's quarterly backlog.
