This policy covers personal information we collect through this marketing site (tethered.co.za), in line with South Africa's Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).

Who we are
Tethered is a white-label wedding platform for venues, operated from South Africa. This policy applies only to the public marketing site at tethered.co.za. Personal information processed inside the product itself — for venues, couples and guests — is governed separately under each venue’s agreement with us.
What we collect
When you submit the “Book a demo” form, we collect the details you give us: your name, your venue, your email address, and optionally your phone number and a message. We use this only to respond to your enquiry and arrange a demo.
We also collect a small amount of technical information automatically — privacy-friendly, aggregate analytics about page visits (via Vercel) and standard server logs. We do not use cross-site advertising trackers.
Why we process it
We process your enquiry details to reply to you, prepare for a demo and follow up — that is, to take steps at your request and for our legitimate interest in running the business. Analytics help us understand what’s useful and improve the site.
Who we share it with
We don’t sell your information. We share it only with the service providers that help us operate: Resend (to deliver the email your enquiry generates), Vercel (hosting and analytics) and Supabase (data storage). Each processes data on our instructions.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry details for as long as needed to follow up and for a reasonable period afterwards, then delete them — unless we’re required to keep them longer.
Your rights under POPIA
You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to our processing. Email us at hello@tethered.co.za and we’ll act on your request. You also have the right to complain to the Information Regulator of South Africa.
Security
Information is transmitted over encrypted connections and stored with a reputable, POPIA-aware infrastructure provider, with South African (Cape Town) data residency planned as we scale. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect what you share.
Changes
We may update this policy as the product and our practices evolve. The effective date above marks the current version.
